2K Brings Onboard Popular Battle Royale Developer to Revitalize Struggling Hero Shooter Ambitious Title

2K Games has welcomed a seasoned producer from Respawn Entertainment to lead the development team at 31st Union, which is currently developing the upcoming over-the-shoulder action-packed title known as this innovative game.

Management Transition Follows Mixed Response

Brinkman assumes the role of studio head at 31st Union following the departure of former leader the ex-Sledgehammer Games executive, who was reportedly let go due to Project Ethos' underwhelming unveiling last autumn.

Recently, the company's top executive David Ismailer updated team members about this strategic move through an internal memo, which stressed that early feedback sessions had revealed the need for a more defined game identity.

Ismailer stated that the team is now refining the project with a refreshed vision, aiming to satisfy gamer demands.

A Pattern of Key Hires

This announcement mirrors a similar move taken by 2K Games in the summer, when they hired an industry veteran from the Diablo team to work on the BioShock studio Cloud Chamber.
